Once your initial assessment has been completed and we are in agreeance that I am the most suitable Counsellor for you, your weekly 1:1 sessions will commence. It is usually advised to attend a minimum of six sessions in order to create an ethical, effective and trusted therapeutic relationship, and of course the most profound results, however if you have a more urgent and short-lived/less complicated problem which you just need 'a second set of ears' for, or for a therapeutic professional to 'hold space' for you as you unpack the problem and make sense of it, a couple of sessions are a sound way of doing this then moving forward with clarity and a decision on how to manage your issue.
